This is a jig designed to secure an octagonal handle for hand sanding. You simply slide the slat into the appropriate slot based on the handle length. This secures the handle whiles sanding, but also makes it easy to rotate between the faces. No more hand cramps, or the need for fiddling with clamps, or taping sandpaper to your surface plate. Just sand, rotate, sand, rotate.
